Euro 2012 Concerns

An article appeared in the daily mail online which referenced John Mann’s question in the Commons about football and racism. The full article is online here and excerpt is below.

Labour MP for Bassetlaw, John Mann, said the FA was ‘significantly more enlightened’ than European football’s governing body UEFA, and the world game’s organisation FIFA, at tackling racism.

Mr Robertson (the football Minister) agreed to meet an all-party committee on anti-Semitism and community groups dealing with discrimination to hear how ministers and regulators could deal with potential racism at next year’s European championship in Poland and Ukraine.
