Mark Pritchard MP has been the Conservative Member of Parliament for The Wrekin in Shropshire since 2005. Following his re-election in 2010 he was elected as one of the two secretaries of the 1922 committee.
In Parliament, he is known for his advocacy of animal rights issues, successfully moving a motion in 2011 to ban wild animals in circuses.
