Manchester Regional Event

Ivan Lewis MP (Labour-Bury South), Eric Ollerenshaw MP (Conservative – Lancaster & Fleetwood) and Danny Stone (Director, PCAAF) spoke at a meeting of the Manchester Jewish Representative Council. The MPs highlighted the successes of the All-Party Group Against Antisemitism. Eric Ollerenshaw noted the importance of Holocaust education and Ivan Lewis talked about the centrality of interfaith work to community relations. Danny Stone highlighted the positive examples of the APPG model of inquiry and report to others and the good news stories that should be spread. All three of the panellists discussed remaining challenges including hate speakers on university campuses, internet hate and election materials.
