A confident, hardworking intern is required to join the team of the Parliamentary Committee against Antisemitism in London. The position is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain experience in the political sphere, both nationally and internationally. It will also provide the candidate with experiences in organising high profile events and international political visits.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the organisation of UK Parliamentary events and meetings
- Assist in the organisation of a major international conference
- Assist in the preparation of delegations of MPs visiting parliaments abroad
- Policy Research for Group staff and members
- General assistance to the staff
- General office administration
Successful candidates should have the following as a minimum:
- Completed first year of relevant degree course
- A keen enthusiasm for politics, Parliament and tackling antisemitism
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills (both verbal and written)
- Good IT skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
- Interest in international relations both in the NGO and parliamentary arena
- Discretion and integrity
- Additional languages desirable
Start date: Flexible
Duration: Flexible, 3 month internship preffered
Weekly commitment: 3-5 days either full or part time
A small stipend to cover travel expenses will be paid
This internship can be undertaken in conjunction with candidate’s studies
